Having honed her transport planning technical capabilities around sustainable projects with a focus on walking and cycling, Liz has found a perfect balance between technical and creative work.
After five years working in science research, Liz changed careers to transport planning and has gained experience working in this sector in three countries. She loves the variety of work, size and scope, project focus and the skills required to deliver positive outcomes. One project highlight was a review of the Little Streets in Melbourne central business district (CBD) for City of Melbourne. Liz conducted safety reviews to assess how people use these iconic places and recommended short, medium, and long-term treatments to improve accessibility. The recommendations were adopted by the local council and she’s excited to see her plans come to life.
Liz loves bike riding in her spare time and volunteers at the community tool library in Brunswick.
