With more than 13 years of experience, Arash has worked on a range of high voltage direct current (HVDC) and renewable interconnection projects. His focus is currently on HVDC related projects to integrate clean, renewable resources to reduce or eliminate manmade carbon dioxide emissions. Arash’s advocacy of sustainable clean energy further informs his work to positively impact the communities supported by his projects.
While Arash’s assignments are wide-ranging and complex, his goal remains the same: to fulfill the needs of clients and their communities. In recent years, Arash has performed and led various HVDC and renewable interconnection studies, custom electromagnetic transient and real-time simulation models, technical specification development, design review, witnessing tests and commissioning. He’s an active member of CIGRE and the convener of several CIGRE standards, including the “application of VSC-HVDC in a system black start restoration” and “benchmarking of simulation models for control interaction in meshed AC networks with multiple converters”.
When he’s not working to create sustainable solutions, Arash enjoys spending time with his family and travelling.
